The celebration of the birth anniversary of H.E. Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche
The 58th birth anniversary of H.E. Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche, Jamyang Thupten Chokyi Gyatso, the third incarnation, was well celebrated.
On 18th June 2019, when Khyentse Rinpoche’s birth anniversary, as per the western calendar, was celebrated in different parts of the world, it was also celebrated at Rinpoche’s abode—Dzongsar Khyentse Chokyi Lodro Institute—like every year where the ritual of the thousand offerings to Ushnishavijaya is performed for Rinpoche’s long life and for the flourishment of Rinpoche’s all enlightened activities without bias. This year also, keeping all academic classes closed, Rinpoche’s birth anniversary was celebrated with the performing of the ritual of the thousand offerings to Ushnishavijaya, in the presence of His Eminence Dungsey Avikrita Vajra Rinpoche and His Eminence Dungsey Abhaya Vajra Rinpoche, by the whole sangha of the institute.
Likewise, all the students of Dzongsar Kanishka Primary School also celebrated the birth anniversary of Rinpoche, whereby the students displayed the photographs of Rinpoche on the wall of the school hall, a young student named Tenzin Dakpa cut the cake and all the students sang the songs of prayer in Tibetan, English and Chinese for Rinpoche’s birth anniversary. The teachers and students enjoyed the cake together. The students were introduced about the brief biography of Rinpoche by Mr. Ngawang Mindrol, the teacher, and were shown the movie known as ‘The Cup’ as a part of the celebration.
Under the arrangement of The 84000 Project, founded by Khyentse Rinpoche, which translates the sutra and shastra into English, the whole sangha of the institute resounded the sutra named Arya Ratnameghanama Mahayana sutra on Rinpoche’s birth anniversary.
