Chokyi Lodeo Research Centre
In the year 2016, Dzongsar institute started ‘The Chokyi Lodoe Research centre’, in collaboration with the Department of Tibetan studies at the Institute of Asian and African studies of Hamburg University. It was set up with the help and guidance of Professor Dorji Wangchuck, and its purpose is to provide opportunities to Shedra’s graduate to continue their studies in accordance with modern academic methodology. There are three graduates as the first batch of researchers and the research tenure is for four years. The Shedra and Khyentse Foundation provide the necessary infrastructure like space, computers and allowances for the researchers. The Shedra is also planning to select new researchers every two years.
Currently three researchers are working on ‘Critical Edition’ of texts individually and collectively as group.
