How to get to Dzongsar Khyentse Chokyi Lodro Institute (DKCLI)
By Air: If you take a flight from Delhi to Gaggal airport, Dharamsala, you can get there within one and half hours. It is about Rs 1000 to Rs 1200 if you take a taxi from Gaggal airport to DKCLI. You can also take a bus from Gaggal to Palampur. Palampur to Baijnath. Baijnath to Chauntra. From Chauntra market you can get to DKCLI in a taxi by paying Rs 50. Sometimes you can also get a direct bus from Gaggal to Chauntra.
By road: If you take a private bus from Nirmal Hriday Church, Manjnu Ka Tilla, a Tibetan settlement in Delhi to Jogindar Nagar, you can get to Chauntra directly. It is Volvo Bus and the fare for each passanger is Rs 900 and above. You can also get government air conditioned buses from (Kashmiri Gate) ISBT bus station at Delhi but the bus going to Chauntra is not very good.
