In sync with the campaign for a clean environment, Kyabje Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche, time and again, talks on the importance of protecting and taking care of the environment, and the consequences of exploiting natural resources.

Moreover, as a part of Zero Waste and R3 Project, led by the Shedra Environment Committee, DKCLI has been striving for a clean environment inside and outside the Shedra, and to minimize as much as possible the use of materials that are harmful for the environment.

The cleaning done by the Shedra community on World Environment Day shows its concern and care for the environment. It is also an activity through which the community tries to create awareness among local people and Tibetans in the area about the importance of protecting and keeping the environment clean.
