The sixth abbot

The sixth abbot, Khangmar Rinchen

Khangmar Rinchen, the sixth abbot of Dzongsar Khamje Shedra was born in Terlung area of Derge and joined a small Nyingma monastery in the region. He is an exemplary Dharma practitioner and his main teachers are, Onton Khenrab, Kathok Situ and Jamyang Khyentse Chokyi Lodoe.

Due to his enormous learning, Khyentse Chokyi Lodoe invited him to be the abbot of Shedra after Dayab Lodoe, and he served the post for four years. Khenpola was remembered as someone who dedicates any material belonging for publications of scriptures.
