The third Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche Thupten Chokyi Gyatso, is born in the year 1961 at a place call Kurtoe in eastern Bhutan to Dungse Thinley Norbu and Jamyang Choden. He was recognized and enthroned as the embodiment of second Jamyang Khyentse Chokyi Lodoe by the Sakaya Trizin. Rinpoche studied with some of the great lineage holders of four schools of Tibetan Buddhsim, like Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, the Sakya Trizin, the 16th Karmapa, Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche, Khenpo Apey, etc.

He later went to study at School of African and Oriential studies at London University. He founded the Dzongsar Shedras, in Tibet, India and Bhutan.

Rinpoche is also the founder of various foundations like, Siddhartha’s Intent, Deer Park, Lotus Outreach, Khyentse Foundation and 84000.

Rinpoche wrote and directed movies like, The cup, Traveller and magicians amd Vara. His books includes, Path and right view, Not for Happiness, What makes you not a Buddhist?, What to do in Buddhsit sacred places in India?, Commentary on Introduction to the middle way, Commentary on continuum of higher principle, Instructions on parting from four attachment, etc.
